Topic: What is your idea about guitar prices from cheap to expensive?

My opinion is that there are 5 categories.
1) Cheap Price Class = from 50  - 300$300$ (There are some great guitars in that categorie)
2) Middle Price Class = from 300 - 700$
3) Higher Price Class = from 700$ - 1200$
4) Very High Class = 1200$ - 2000$
5) Top Price Class = from 2000$ up to 5000$ and more.

DO YOU AGREE OR BOT? Please give me your opinion about these small list.

IS THIS A DREAM OR A REALITY?
A lot of guitars were really affordable 10 years ago. EXAMPLE: "TAKAMINE".
I believe that Takamine was in the second category 10 years ago. More and more people started playing Takamine, even great artists. This results in the fact that Takamine is far more expensive than 10 years ago, and she moved up to category 3 and some in category 4.
WHAT DO YOU THINK ABOUT THIS LIST? Or you can add something if I am wrong or if you don't agree with my classification.

Hmmmm... what's the exchange rate on those prices to the English pound ?
I'd rate a 'cheap'  guitar at around 100-300(my pound sign doesn't work on my keyboard!)
Mid price 300-500
higher price  500-800
very high 800-1200
top price 1200- ????

But saying that, i could be completely wrong, as that's what my personal opinion is.

Hi doc,those prices are right in line with all the ones I see here in the usa. I keep watching Musicians friend on the web and they sometimes have some great prices on many of the guitars at all price ranges.               dino
