Topic: Want to meet like minded musicians

Hi, I'm in Hillsdale, NY and looking for anyone who writes, wants to jam or start a band.  I am female, quite new to the guitar and I sing and play rock/folk/blues.  I also play the odd bit of piano.  I'm just starting to write the odd tune and need some creative brainstorming.  Anyone out there?

Hi Scrivadam and Crimhedd,

  What about the other side of the continent?

  Anyway, I have read lots of posts looking for "players near to _________" in chordie, and am wondering what success that brings.
I have a little group of folks locally that I jam with on a weekly basis, which is nice, but can kind of get to be a drag doing the same kind of tunes all the time.  Which is why I have been following the Recording section of Chordie and especially the "virtual band" element of that thread. You know, kind of a get out of your element experiment.... where you do some kind of progressive jam. 

  So if you are looking to stretch your legs and are into collaberation on musical projects you might give it a read.

  Have fun with your music.... it just keeps getting better!
