Topic: Dream Guitars

Now, not everybody can afford to buy guitars, and especially good ones. And i thought it would be cool to see other peoples dream guitars. ill start with mine.  mine is  the Gibson les paul, with the black finish and the gold trimming. mmm, it makes me shiver.

Re: Dream Guitars

My dream guitar is a custom built. I've talked to 2-3 luthiers about it but will more than likely go with Tim Mcknight http://www.mcknightguitars.com/ I've put 6 of my other guitars up for sale already to help finance this project. Spruce top (undecided on the variety at this point) with Myrtle back and sides. Haven't settled on the bindings and finer points yet but the rossette will be sapwood with burnt in script. My family crest will be the 12th fret inlay. That's all the details I have at this time. The waiting time for completion runs about 3 years and will carry a heavy price tag but I think it will be worth it in the long run. I plan to have 3 before I pass on.... one to leave to each of my sons... All will have the family crest as the 12th fret inlay but will be diffrent wood combinations.... At least that's the plan smile -Pix

Well being from the "Great Northwest" and they say a picture is worth a thousand..... www.breedloveguitars.com/gallery/mk1_custom_multnomah_q.php

There may be others that I would lust for out there, but this one really caught my eye and if it is as good as their acoustics...
