Topic: Spacing 'error's in tablature

Hey, I am really loving this software/search engine for organising my music, but there seems to be an issue with extra 'spaces' occuring betweens lines of tablature.  This makes a piece of music stretch out longer than would normally appear in the 'original' source.  Is this a glitch?


Also the 'print layout' for your song book might need some formatting work...  I had a document 3000 pages long with less than 200 songs.


Anyway.. thanks for your efforts...  I have been looking for something like this for a long time...

Thanks for reporting this. I do know about the "extra space"-problem in tablatures. But when nobody complains it does not get fixed...<img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_smile.gif" border=0 alt="Smile"> Ill look into it, and tell you the status here.


This is probably one of the reasons for the long songbooks. But if there are other, please tell me. The songbook layout should now be identical to the song-layout. The best way of reporting such errors, is by pointing me exactly to the song that has problems. Then your odds for getting it fixed increases tremendously... <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_biggrin.gif" border=0 alt="Very Happy">

I know I have seen the tab space problem earlier, but I am actually unable to find any songs right now with this problem.


Can anybody help me, and provide a url for a song with this problem?

Here is a song that seems to have the tab-spacing problem:

This should now be fixed. I found a couple of variants that caused this. If you find any more double spaced tabs, please tell me. Now that the error is located, it is very easy to fix.

I checked the print out of my song book and it still seems to have the same problem...


When a piece of music has tablature imbedded it can sometimes space the individual lines that represent each string about 5 lines apart...

I suspect that the software is not interpreting the line-breaks correctly...


For example...  tab that looks like this:


----1----1----1----

----1----1----1----

----1----1----1----


Ends up like this:


----1----1----1----





----1----1----1----





----1----1----1----

I understand why this is happening.


The bug was in converting from crd to chopro. In practice this means that the songs added to the songbook still have the error. Could you try to remove the song and adding it again? Please tell me if this fixes the problem.


I will try to find a workaround for the songs already added to the songbook.
