Topic: Old Flame by Alabama in "E"

I've only been playing about six weeks. There is a couple of versions on Chordie, but one doesn't sound right and another is too hard for me to play. Somebody has posted a version in "E" but I don't understand it since it has multiple EEEEEE's on a line and is confusing. Can somebody post a version that shows the chords and where they are played? I would be grateful for the help.

Re: Old Flame by Alabama in "E"

What's up blindwillie, man I sure remember when I was just starting out learning to play,,,I assume you play the guitar,,,Keep on strummin your ax you'll get there. As to the versions, I've never posted a song with chords but I know sometimes the chords posted above the lyrics sometimes get shifted out of place, not sure what causes this but I see it all the time. Usually if your familiar with the tune your playing you should be able to find the groove. Just keep messing around with it and you'll get it. Also, you might want to try changing the key your playing in. Chordie makes this really easy with the Transpose Chords on the right hand side of the chordie page. Its a really cool feature so you can easily change the key into something you can play or sing. For example if the key is posted in E you can transpose up or down to F or G or D or C or etc...What I'm saying is, find one you can play all the chords in until you become a more experienced player. Anyway I hope this helps and have fun,,,after all thats the reason we all play music,,right...

Thanks for the help. I was not aware of the transpose chords feature, but will start to use it regularly now.
