Topic: Rising Moon

Hi folks,

I've now put two very different versions of Rising Moon on Myspace. what I'd like is for as many people as possible to listen to them and then vote as to which version they prefer [if any]

version 1 is a sort of country thing

version 2 is more orchestral

the choice is yours

Phill

PS to get there just click website to your left...thanks

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: Rising Moon

Hi Phill,

Well it certainly ain't a poem any more it has been transformed into a great song. I thoroughly enjoyed litening to it.

Thank you,

Re: Rising Moon

thanks roger, but i really dont think it's any good. it sounds to me like something i've done loads of times before, you know the same old riff, and not just me , i've heard the same riff played on loads of songs, i stuck the change to minor chords in to distinguish it from others, but i'm still not happy, i'm working at the moment on an orchestration which will be on a totally different musical theme [i hope].

thanks for your encouragement

Phill
Just had listen to both renditions of Rising Moon.....
Two very different slants on a very poetical piece.
To be truthful the 1st one sounded a bit thin to me not giving the words real  justice.
with the 2nd one the words came over much more clearly with the music setting the scene and to me is the right direction to go.
I reckon you should give it a go on ourstage in fact most of your songs stand a good chance in the charts.
As Russ says what have you got to lose.....

Re: Rising Moon

Hi Phill,

I have just listened to both versions of the song and I have to agree with Ark that I too prefer the second version. It is completely different by being spoken and the music sets the right atmosphere.
