This girl wants me to write a love song and i was wondering if any1 has some lyric ideas
big question is,,, do you want to write her one?
or are you just going along with the idea to get your wicked way? either way is good
ok some ideas that will woo her.
mention the word love a few times, and how her eyes look so beautiful, how you love her hair whether it is long or short, dont mention her breasts, well not unless they are so fantastic you cannot leave them out but mention them in a loving attractive way and not a dirty mind like mine would If she has long sexy legs mention them.
Anything you find attractive about her, mention it, nose, ears, toe, hair, bum, legs,
oh yeah, and her personality I suppose, women for some reason keep going on about this personality thing. ( persoanlly I tihnk they mention this if they know they have a not so nice looking guy )
mention how she talks if she talks really nice. i.e. whispering in your ear etc.
and how much you love it when you make love, oh yeah and also when you make love to her that always helps.
Dont mention how she compares to other women, not even an old girlfriend that dumped you and you got over it but you still want to have a go with her.
here, this is the best question I have ever seen in chordie. Also the best one I have had fun replying to.
hope this helps.
in fact, send me a pic of her tell me her likes and dislikes and I will write a song, lol.
Na, got to do this yourself, a very personnal thing is love songs.
Ken
Well you say This girl... is she a girlfriend / friend / lover? or just someone who wants to feel important?
Depends what you want to gain from writting the song...
how much your life has improved since shes been in it is always a good thing... but dont sound to dependant otherwise you'll come across as desprate and clingy lol...
if you've known her a while throw in a memory or two or hint a certain things that are private between you but explainable to everyone else
things you think are cute about her ... draw on her insecurities and lay them to rest like complimenting the things she dislikes about herself....
good luck m8

Uperyerkilt and cheetarah are right on the money here. I know for a fact that upyerkilt is married - he therefore possesses vast wisdom and hard-won experience regarding the inner workings of the female species.
As you create this song of love, keep in mind that male and female and human beings are in fact two totally different species. It is a marvelous cosmic joke that there is any attraction between these extremely different critters.
The male species is motivated simply by hormones and convenience. The female species is driven by factors that are as yet not fully identified. Recent advances in quantum physics, probability theory, and the development of light-weight-space-age materials that can be readily adapted to producing cute shoes offer some promise for unlocking the mysteries of female motivation.
However; some scientists are warning that the male species is probably incapable of using such knowledge safely and wisely.
Please realize that if you compose an effective love song, you might get exactly what you're asking for . . . .
That was very deep James,
If I translated your comments correctly are you saying that David 137 should ignore anything that he is thinking of to write and just write what his lady wants to hear to gain her fair hand?
Roger
spot on Roger,
thats what I interpetated as well
we all do it when it comes to the opposite sex, male and female, we are a terrible species in this universe but we love it
Writing a love song eh?
Hmmmmm.
Well, I can tell you that I've been writing love poems for my wife ever since we've been together (and that's over 20 years now) and not one of them's worth the paper it's written on from the viewpoint of "literary importance".
That being said, each sappy, syroppy and poorly structured one of them is important to her and the way her face lights up after she's read one means the world to me.
Just tell her that you love her and more importantly, *why* you love her...how just a smile or soft touch of her hand can turn your entire day from crap to incredible.
If it's early in the relationship, keep it warm and romantic. Save the "heaving bosoms and burning loins" for later and don't let the structure supercede the message.
I always find myself getting caught up in meter and rhyme, sometimes losing what I'd meant to say in the format of the poem.
Fortunately, as a wise man once said, "The medium is the message".
If my 47 years have taught me anything about the female of the species at all (and that's still up for debate), it's that they are very forgiving of their mates failings as long as they know your heart was in it.
The simple fact that you try will likely gain you some points.

Never a truer word said...
Us females are infamous for our mood swings and demonic wrath when scorned but shown a little love and affection ... it is always the thought that counts. I'd be happy with even the thought that someone wishes they could write a song so they could write one for me yet alone actually knowing that the song you're listening is about you...
Anyway Good luck ...
peace & love

OK David 137, straight from the horse's mouth so as to speak (no slight intended there cheetarah, it is only an expression and I don't want to be the target of a lady's wrath). Ignore what us men have been saying, listen to what the lady has to say and you're bound to be on a winner.
When you write this song you must post it on here with a report of how it was received as many of us now have a great interest in your romance.
Roger
It's kinda personal....don't really feel comfortable posting it, went over well though.
Hey I was not asking for details. To know that it went down well is enough.
Good luck
Roger
David, glad the song went across well. Thanks for starting this thread too, because I've thoroughly enjoyed reading all the posts. Not only are there some valuable pieces of advice, but it also gives a real insight into the other members of Chordie's motives behind songwriting
......and I thought I was the only one!!
