Topic: Painted Memories Blue

A song about dealing with the past and how those signals can be misinterpreted by others today.
Played slow with light strumming and picking.

hi kap54 a great composition,got a bit mixed up at start with all the full stops but got the flow of it,well done....stay cool

Hi Kenny,

If for the Am7 you mean xx0003 that is in fact G
And for Am6 you mean xx0002 that is Gmaj7

I may have misinterpreted your meaning but to define what I have written, the low E is on the left and the high on the right. X = not played, 0 = played open and the number indicates which fret the string is played.

Hey kaps
Your ok on your chords A7 302220 and  A6 202220 there just variants of same.
Chopro can't handle them best to specify them in the the intro.
Man you certainly turn out the songs. smile
Just looked at your song again did you want the Am, A7 and A6 to be bass walk down just curious.

Thanks Roger and Ark.Still trying to get a handle on this.
Let me know if I'm right on this,302210 is what I want,I think for A7
                                              202210 is what I want,I think for A6.
If it makes sense to you I will edit as what I'm playing is a little bit different still.
In the intro I would define the A6 + A7 with these sets of numbers?

Hi Kenny,

I thought I had misunderstood, my only excuse is that I cannot get my pinky to reach the low E whist playing Am, hmm sorry.

As Ark has pointed out you cannot always get Chordie to show the actual variation of the chord but the chords are still Am7 and Am6 whether the extra note is played on the high e or the low E.

Anyway now I know what to play I have given it a run through and I do like the lyrics and the chord sequence although I am abit unsure about the extra chords at the end. This is probably down to my interpretation so I would like to hear your version to comment properly on the ending but well done.

Very deep and emotional feelings there.
If you cant look back and laugh at the memories, then dont look back at all. The experience is real if the lesson is learnt and not repeated.

Thanks for the listen. big_smile When I was trying to record it I was have a bad hair day and my fingers weren't working so good so I strummed it out. I re-recorded today as intended finger pick. It's closer...10 more years of guitar and I will be able to play it proper lol

Hi Ark...Yup Now that Audacity is working good everyday I'm gonna go back and try to record all that I have posted.   Oiy!!!
I think Audacity was a soundcard problem. Anyways the recording should be a different version.
