Topic: looking for some chords

i have a song here that im writing and im stuck and hopefully some of you can help...

the song is 4/4 time although that can change.

its starts with a D chord into a C9 chord...

what i need is 1 or 2 chords to follow but they must run into a G chord which in turn will go back the D chord.

even a suggestion for a bass run would be good

thanks to you all in advance for your time.

Re: looking for some chords

OK, here are some ideas - probably you will reject them all, but they may help you find the changes you're seeking.

D, C9, Em, D7, G

D, C9, Cm, G

D, C9, Bb7, G

D, C9, Bb, G

D, C9, Ab, G

Hope this helps break the logjam . . .

Depends how you play C9. the above sugestions are based on C9 being

3

also a good progression is D to C add9
