Topic: Black Magic Woman

Is this song best played by an Electric Guitar or Acoustic

Thanks

Re: Black Magic Woman

If you mean Fleetwood Mac's song of this name then you are after Peter Green's 'out of phase' Gibson Les Paul sound, but I'm sure it could sound pretty sweet played acoustic.

Re: Black Magic Woman

If you want to sound like Santana, go with an electric.

MY ANSWER:
As long as you play the song and the people recognize the song, you do a good job.

- this is a very easy song to play acoustic, and it gives another dimension played acoustic.
- this a very good song to play electric.
ACOUSTIC = when you start playing this song acoustic, you can avoid or add the typical Santana solo.
ELECTRIC = you will try to play the electric solo, easier than on an acoustic.
I am more a player who TRIES to play RHYTHM + LICKS and RIFFS, this is not typical rhythm guitar.
