Topic: tuning from high to low or vice versa?

Ok maybe it's just me but I find tuning from the high E to the low E much easier when you're doing the 5th  fret technique. But for some reason I was always told to do it low to high.
any opinions? would you know why almost everybody does it low to high? I was told by my awesome teacher to do it high to low and it worked better. Easier.

Re: tuning from high to low or vice versa?

If your doing it regularly just to fine tune you should always start on the high e string (the small one:) The reason is that the unwound strings tend to maintain their tune better. You'll find that the majority of the time your high e and b string will stay in tune while your other (wound) strings will need mild adjustment periodically. -Pix
