Topic: to much of a rider

Here is my latest song// zucko

  Em                      F#m G
James just walked into a bar
Em                F#m G
he wanted some refreshing
G                   F#m
But he doesn’t look right
G                        F#m  E
and he wouldn’t look all right

F   C           G                   D
you could say he was too much of a rider
F    C               E                  F#m
you could say he was to much of a tramp
you could say he was to much of a traveler
but you couldn’t say anything bad

you could say he was too much of a rider
you could say he was to much of a tramp
you could say he was to much of a traveler
but you couldn’t say anything bad¨
no you couldn’t say anything bad¨
no you couldn’t say anything bad¨

F                C     G              D
F               C          E          F#m

Suddenly the air grow so cold
so the flies dumped dead from the air.
he was to much of a rider
and for them he was a threat as well

you could say he was too much of a rider
you could say he was to much of a tramp
you could say he was to much of a traveler
but you couldn’t say anything bad¨
no you couldn’t say anything bad¨
no you couldn’t say anything bad¨

F               C     G             D
F               C       E           F#m

the gamblers at the disk find a new game
some thought he doesn’t gonna make the boarder
they bet about his life
and some of already them know the end of the bet

you could say he was too much of a rider
you could say he was to much of a tramp
you could say he was to much of a traveler
but you couldn’t say anything bad¨
no you couldn’t say anything bad¨
no you couldn’t say anything bad¨

they later found James in a plastic bag
floating dead on the river
but he was to much of a rider
and the case was closed and never to bee brought up

you could say he was too much of a rider
you could say he was to much of a tramp
you could say he was to much of a traveler
but you couldn’t say anything bad

you could say he was too much of a rider
you could say he was to much of a tramp
you could say he was to much of a traveler
but you couldn’t say anything bad¨
no you couldn’t say anything bad¨
no you couldn’t say anything bad¨

The song ends whit an Em

I like this song Zucko,

Makes me want to know more about this Man.

I always when i see a vagrant / or down and out, try to see them as a baby who was probably very much loved.

Life just becomes to difficult for some. Sad kinda song but good.

Old Doll.

Why Blend in with the Crowd ? When you were made to stand out !

Hi Zucko,

As Rebel has found out it is not always easy to put a rhythm to chords and lyrics but I think I have got it sorted although it is a pity you are unable to record it as that would have been a great help.

A good song, well done, although from a purely personal point of view I felt that it would have been improved if the chorus were not used quite as much.

Thank you,

Roger

Re: to much of a rider

Hey Zucko,

That was just my opinion. It is your song and if you like it the way that it is then keep it like that. You are free to try my, or anyone else's, suggestions and if you agree fine, if you don't then that is fine too, remember it is YOUR song, no-one else's.

It is always difficult interpreting someone else's song with just the lyrics and chords as there is no way of knowing that the melody is. This is why I keep trying to persuade, coerse or bully Members into recording their songs as the actual intended song is usually very different from what I (or anyone else) has envisaged.

Also recording is a very good tool as it gives you the chance to listen properly to your songs which you cannot do whist playing and singing them and gives you the oportunity to fine tune them.

Anyway I will get off my recording 'hobby-horse' now.

I have borrowed the disk that is needed for recording now I just need to buy a mic, maybe the time until I record it isn't so far away.

Re: to much of a rider

Hi Zucko & welcome to the Songwriting forum!  Don't worry about your English - it's qutie good enough and your song tells an interesting story.

Roger Guppy encouraged me to start recording my songs a little over a year ago - - it is a great way to hone your skills, so take the plunge and start recording.  It can be frustrating and scary at first, but the results are worth the effort.  James
