HELP!!!!!!!!!
Probably Rock/Punk, but pretty much anything with guitars. Love guitars! Also love ANYTHING done on an acoustic guitar.
Out of that list: Country. I generally play what I call Sissified 70's Folk/Pop - John Denver, James Taylor, Jim Croce, etc., so forth. From the list, Country. I play a fair bit of Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson, a little Alan Jackson.

I'm attempting to start a new genre..........
I love Metal, Hard Rock and Classic Rock myself
Ska and Alternative Rock. (which would be "modern rock" I suppose? )
From that list I would say Country, followed by Pop, Rock and Classical.

For me it's older blues, sixties and seventies country, anything
classic rock, and lots of coal mining tunes.

My favorite? old school R&B, blues, gospel. Anything if it sounds good.
Mostly Country, because almost every thing I sing ends up sounding country, but I try to be Ecclectic in my song choices.
I like Metal and rock mostly but i will listen to anything really that i think sounds good.
Older country music and ballads. Need songs with a story to tell and a meaning that you can relate too.

From the list... rock and pop (and was the blues in that list).
Now my real choices:
Bluegrass (pretty much all the sub-genres: traditional, jazz-grass, psycho-grass, new-grass, etc.), Cajun, Jazz(big band swing, fusion), folk-rock, indy-folk (both are represented real well by groups such as "Rani Arbo and Daisy Mayhem" and "The Bobs") and just love to listen to anyone who can REALLY pick a guitar (my favs: Doc Watson, Dan Crary, Eric Clapton, and my friend, Jerry Ashford.... almost in that order).
As if any of this matters to anyone but me. Thanks for letting me express it.
Anything that's done well and sounds good. In other words, "Music Baby!" Check out this private radio staion in Alberta, www.ckua.com "A World of Music" and they mean it.
Cheers
Heather
I love
folk
rock
heavy rock ( though not thrash rock)
country ( but not country and western)
folk music ( country folk, traditional folk, folk folk)
punk
mod( if you could call that a genre, but it is really rock done with guys in smartly dressed suits)
blues
That just about covers it all apart from the manufactured bands and dance music and I shall never mention them as a genre I like or respect or admire or appreciate
