Topic: Fave 12 string tunes
My buddy just got a 12 string acoustic & is searching for tunes that instrument is noted for. I sent him "Hotel California". He's an experienced guitarist, don't hold back.
Any recommendations?

Check out Leo Kottke's song book (advanced) and listen to "My Feet are Smiling" album. It will change your life!!!

Good tip, Kottke's very advanced, very good. Didn't he do a smoking acoustic version of "sweet emotion"?
Rodger Hodson of Supertramp uses 12 stangs a lot, "even in the quietest moments" being notable.

Warning*Playing a 12 string can be dangerous to your heath! Besides the long times spent playing and enjoying the music. It leaves a void in your life for your 6 string. Your 6 string will become dusty and out of tune. The 6 string could get up and leave if it tried! 12 strings are very habit forming and rather time consuming! I couldn't agree more "Hotel Califorina" is a great 12 string song! I do enjoy playing some older Neil Young songs too on my 12 strings.
