I have been thinking of buying an electric guitar, for the first time, and have been offered an RKS wave at, what appears to be, a very good price. I have heard that thes eguitars cost about GBP 600 or $1200, and this one is available to me for much less than that. I havent seen them mentioned on the forum before, can anybody tell me anything about them please?

THE RKS IS HANDMADE IN THE USA.
AMAZING GUITARS They have an interchangeable body shells and pickguards. I never saw a guitar like that, you can unscrew the body, like a pink body, and you use a black body. They also sound great.
About the price I found, is the interchangeable body included?

I hope this was useful, and when I see questions about guitars, or guitar prices, I consider it as a kind of duty to help as much as I can.
My methods are:
- pot some links like www.zzounds.com to SEE the guitar, or even eBay
- post a link to SEE and HEAR the guitar on youtube or myspace
- with this information you have already an idea, allowing you to enter a music store and try.
What I don't know is: you pay 699$ for a RKS wave, is the body included or not? I know they are US made, and they sound real good. Just go to youtube to see and hear them in action.
So bodies can be unscrewed and you can change a black body into a red body. What's the price for a body?

They do look and sound fantastic.
The price includes everything, including the body. I dont know about the price for a spare/replacement body though, although it is probably available on the rks guitars web site.(rksguitars.com)
I think I will probably go with this and let you know how it turns out..

Yesterday, I got an email from a magazine, I quote
We tested 3 different models. WAVE MODELS ARE MADE IN CHINA (explains the 600$) The 2 other guitars, start from $2100, and are GENUINE USA MADE, I wrote back that I DIDN'T FIND 1 TRACE THAT the Wave is made in China.

In fact this makes more sense, if you SEE the guitar and the interchangeable body, I'm afraid the cheaper RKS guitars are. And IF:
a PRS SE Soapbar made in Korea versus a Soapbar in USA, they are BETTER to play on gigs, but the US soapbar is used more in the studio.
