What are your favorite album covers?

Ken
Pretty much anything from Yes........... Roger Dean's work is among or very near the top of the finest art my eyes have had the honor of looking upon.............
I like London Calling. It's moving.
One of my faves is the cover of 'False Gestures For A Devious Public' by a group called The Blood. Pretty much anything by Pink Floyd. Beck - Odelay is another I quite like.
Stiff Little Fingers - Nobodys Heroes is also a good un, they put the name of the album as a bar code and you can only read it at a certain angle, well minted i reckon.
I reckon the 70's were probably the 'golden era' for album covers.
Nowadays even the best ones dont look as good when they're crammed onto a CD cover.
Craig.
most of the floyd albums are tops....love houses of the holy by zep.....(have a mirrored version that is cuperb), a coupl eof moody blues covers are cool, liike upyerkilt said, there are so many!!!!!
Iron Maiden - Live After Death
Pearl Jam - Ten
Judas Priest - Angel of Retribution

There is only one truly perfect album cover.
Herb Alpert's "Whip Cream and Other Delights."

Everything else just does not measure up.
Hi Jerome,
Gosh, no wonder there was no whipped cream in any of the stores on your last visit to the Emerald
Ya bold thing!
Old Doll.
Blind Faith's one and only album from 1969.
The photo is so striking and so strange. Who is she? Where is she now?
Also, Big Brother & the Holding Company's 'Cheap Thrills' cover by cartoonist R. Crumb.
Gosh, I guess these favorites really date me!

I have this album (yes, kids, it's a real record) sitting in my bin across the room from me right now. Everything Crumb did was fantastic.

I'm with ya, babe.

Every Irish girl I've met to date has called me "bold." I've no idea what it means, but I've come to grips with the fact that whatever it is, I'm probably it.

She grew up and became a massage therapist.

I always thought that one of the early Hawkwind albums "In search of space" was good for the time.
I remember the Blind Faith's album abit risqué for the time holding a model plane wasn't she.
and Jimi Hendrix's "Electric Ladyland" say no more.
Ark
I always liked Pink Floyd's 'Animals', though there have surely been many other good ones named here as well.

Sorry badeye,
I did not know this album aso I had to go look it up. It is in fact a Pete Townshend solo album. But I bet it is still great. I see Ronnie lane is on the second track. I think I might have to get this
cheers
Ken
Your right Ken, it is Townsend solo. On the back it says he did all the vocals, intstrumentals, mixing, and enginering, all
except making the tea. Thanks for pointing that out.

Those sent a shiver down my spine and made me so happy in knowing I will never be that lame.
Kate Bush's Aeriel has to be the best all round presented artwork on any CD. Shame its not available in LP form. The way the CD's blend in with the background is fantastic. The song book is of sheer beuty with stunning pictures. Music is excellent too.
