I like the turntable player in that band. (Lincoln Park) The way that dude pushes the on button and wiggles those records back and forth is utterly amazing!?!?!?! What a musician...........

Give everything but up.

He's not playing anything, it's playing itself. He's posing.................

He doesn't only do the turntables, he also does all of the MIDI sampling and keyboard...along with some of the artwork for the album covers.

I'm not a huge fan of the whole turntable stuff myself, but when done properly it does sound good...some of the sampling on the Meteora album's great, particularly on "Nobody's Listening".

Anyway, every band has at least one member who doesn't really do anything except pose.

Re: Linkin park chords Shadow of the day

MIDI Sampling... Those words to me are like long finger nails scraping down a chalk board.

Led Zeppelin;
vocals Robert Plant
drums John Bonham
bass and keyboards John Paul Jones
guitar Jimmy Page

No posers in this group...............or this one

RedHotChilliPeppers;
vocals Anthony Kiedis
drums Chad Smith
bass Flea
guitars John Frusciante

I'm not so closed minded to say turntable playing or MIDI sampling has no place in music, it does. It just ain't for me. I respect musicians who play their instruments and/or sing with their own voice. DJ's who push the on button and wiggle records back and forth just doesn't do anything for me. I guess I'm just old fashioned like that.

Give everything but up.
