Cherry Cherry by Neil Diamond - it's all E A D but has a fast funky feeling. Gave me that 'at last I'm out of first gear' high.

Re: first song you learned??

When I first saw this topic,
I thought ," are you !!**&&??
kidding me , that was 45 years ago . But then I thought for about 30 seconds
and remembered . The first thing I learned was how to pick " Walk the Line " , but the first song I learned start to finish , was a song called
" You Can't Grow Peaches On
a Cherry Tree " because my two older sisters ( who were superb singers at the time ),
wanted to sing it .
Funny , maybe our first song is like so many other things , you never forget your first...........

" Just reading the lyrics , it's hard to hear the song , but if the words tug at the heartstrings......it's enough for now........... "

Wow same here (horse with no name), pretty easy to play on guitar

Music is best expressed when used to play with guitar.
Im a 13 year old guitarist who needs a young band to play in.
Acoustic eletric guitar, electric guitar, drums, amp, speakers, cords, and dist. pedal is what i have.

Re: first song you learned??

1st electric song was About a Girl by Nirvana

You have to forget about what other people say; when you're supposed to die, when you're supposed to be lovin'. You have to forget about all these things. You have to go on and be crazy. Craziness is like heaven.

House of the risin' sun - the animals

Re: first song you learned??

I think I can narrow this down to 2.

I first learned Metallica's The Unforgiven, first by playing the chords, then learning the lead/finger picking parts.

The first song I learned in full was The Star Spangled banner.
