Topic: Chords Postion

When I display a song all the tabs are on the line above but to the right of the words.  Is this the way it is suppose to be?  I always thought the tabs should line up above the words.  I was looking at some of the other songs and the tabs appear to be in the correct position.  It seems like it is on some of the misc christmas songs, Silver Bells, A Baby Just Like you etc....

Re: Chords Postion

hello terrykemm - You're correct, the chords should be aligned above the lyric - if the original file chordie has found is properly constructed, this will occur.

However, there are some original files that are just not built quite right - consequently, they will not look very pretty.  Unfortunately, the 'Misc. Christmas' section in the index is chock full of such badly-built songs.

Many of these selections have been 'prettied up' by chordie users who have published songbooks in the "Christmas" section.  Personally, I picked several traditional Carols from 'Misc. Christmas' and edited them to where the chords and lyrics are properly aligned.  I also added verses that were missing.

Check out the Christmas section - you might find exactly what you're looking for . . .
