Topic: ?Saving after Transposing?
HI!! New to site. I've tried to transpose a song in my songbook, but when I try to "add to songbook" or "change", I get a 404 error message. Page not there.
Am I doing something wrong???
thanks

hello philfire - I'm not an expert on the programming voodoo that is behind chordie, but here is my understanding of how this works.
When you transpose a song, the changes are simply applied to what you are viewing - it does not affect the original source file. Once you transpose a song in your songbook, it will appear with that transposition the next time you open the song in your songbook - so there is no need to 're-save' the song in it's transposed form.
If you open a song in your songbook using the 'edit' button, you can see the original source file. Mistakes or ommisions in the original file can be fixed in the edit pane. These changes, however, only affect the file as you view it in your songbook (not the original source file). Every time you open the edited song in your songbook, the edit changes you made will appear in what you see on the screen.
Somebody with more technical skills can probably offer a more complete explanation, but from a chordie-user's standpoint, this should be helpful.
Could you please post the url to the song where you are experiencing this problem? It is most likely a bug related to the new upgrade.
Here is the url of the song I was trying to transpose and save.
