Topic: Don't Answer me-Alan Parsons Project

Hi guys,

I'm trying to find the chords between the main chords of Don't answer me. If anyone can help me with finding the 2 last chords I would really appreciate it. I have come this far now:

C Cmaj7 Cadd9 C

Am Asus2 Asus Am

Dm Dsus2 Dsus Dm

Gsus G ? ? I think the last one might be a G.

Re: Don't Answer me-Alan Parsons Project

Hello Dreamer85 - "Don't Answer Me" is indexed by chordie and there are two versions that appear. The versions are slightly different, so perhaps one of them has what you need. Look under 'Alan Parsons Project' in the main chordie index.

Also, go to the Wikipedia article on the band's chordie page. The article has links to the official band site. The official band site links to several fan sites. There might be lyrics and chords buried somewhere within these fan sites.

Hope this is helpful.

Re: Don't Answer me-Alan Parsons Project

Hi Dreamer:

Yet another song I really liked and had forgotten until someone brought it up here.

I'm starting to think that I should start my Chordie sessions in the Song Request Forum as you guys are reminding me of some great songs!

Anyways, I found one of the versions that James mentioned and played with it for a while.

I don't think it's perfect by any means...I really had issues with the original chorus and I'm still not really happy with the Gm to Am in the line "Don't let me in", but it's at least playable.

If you can add any input to it, that'd be great!

Re: Don't Answer me-Alan Parsons Project

Thanx. I only could find 3 songs but not the one on the link that's been given.

Looks like that version also stops with gsus and g. But that doesn't sound "complete" to me. I haven't even looked at the rest of the song with the extra chords but I'm going to give it a try.

Re: Don't Answer me-Alan Parsons Project

Am i stupid or what???

Now the link only is showing the main chords and the one's in between have magically disappeared...:S

Re: Don't Answer me-Alan Parsons Project

Hi Again Dreamer:

I'm not 100% sure because I don't know how Chordie works, but I've got a nasty feeling that the link may only work when I'm on-line.

The link is to my version in my songbook and I'm not sure how Chordie stores entries there. I do know that I've searched songs I've updated and not found my versions in the general song search, so I think that Chordie has some method of saving entries in personal song-books that is different than how it finds songs in general.

Of course that's all guess work.

I did try the link just now and it brought me to the copy in my song book.

You can try looking in my songbook (A tunedeaf songbook) and it might come up.

As for the missing chord between the Gsus and G, I think you're right and I missed it the first time through.

Try this...[Gsus] Turn and look [Gsusalt] be [G+b] hind,

Gsusalt being my own name for 000033 and G+b being another made up name for 320033. I can't always find an official listing for the fingerings that sound right.

It sounds more complete to me as I try it now.

Also, I've found Chordie to be a bit quirky of late.

I get a lot of really slow page loads and as many outright failures.

Probably related to the new database our sysop is working on.

Re: Don't Answer me-Alan Parsons Project

Hi Tunedeaf. I think you might be right about the offline thing with the song. I tried your suggestions but I think you can use those chords in a different way than I mean. Because throughout the chorus you can hear 4 notes repeating themselves, so each line has to have four chords.

I think Gsus, 000003 and the 2 question marks still remain...

Still determined to get the whole thing.

Thanx for your post!
