Topic: Problem with your site

I have used Chordie for a while and I used to be able to add songs after I had logged in, no problem.

Now I log in to add a song and it says "You must be logged in to add a song" - BUT I ALREADY AM LOGGED IN.

If you have written this site using ultrdev you have the name of one of your session variables wrong. The site is therefore not remembering whether a user is logged in as they traverse from page to page (or at least the resources page) anyway. Common problem easy to fix

Re: Problem with your site

Do you have cookies enabled? What browser are you using? Have you tried to log out and in again?

I am pretty sure the session variables are OK, because this is working from my side.

It would be great to pin this problem down, but you will have to help me. Please do the following, and answer the questions:

* Close your browser

* Open your browser and go to chordie.com

* Do the top bar say that you are logged in? What username?

* If you are not logged in - log in.

* Click one of the songs in the "10 most popular list".

* Click add to songbook.

* What messages are you getting. Was the song added to your songbook.

If this does not work. Please delete all cookies (at least for the chordie-site) and try the above once more. This time you will have to log in.

Please post the answers here, og mail them to admin@chordie.com.

Thanks.

Re: Problem with your site

I am having a similar problem. When trying to add a song to the index, it tells me that I have to log in first.

I have cookies enabled. I'm running IE7. When I open my browser and go to Chordie.com, the top bar says I'm logged in as mamoosh. I've logged out, and back in. I've closed the browser, and reopened it. I've deleted all cookies, and logged back in. Nothing has worked so far.

Suggestions?
