Topic: Amp Suggestions.
I am new at guitars, and I am looking for suggestions on an amp in the future. I have virtually no experience at what is good and what isn't. My current amp is a Bronze by B.C. Rich.

Zax,
Welcome to Chordie! Regarding your question, it really depends on your budget and your future plans. Are you planning on joining a band or do gigs? If so, a 50 to 100w amp would do fine. If not, then a 30-40w amp would do the trick.
One thing you didn't mention was what guitar are you playing? Acoustic or electric? For acoustic, several brands like Crate and Roland are good. For electric, Fender, Vox, Line 6, Marshall, Peavey are some brands to look at. If you're playing electric, invest in a good tube amp! It might a bit pricey now, but you won't be disappointed with the sound.
Good luck!
Good Morning! Most people can do fine with a good quality amp in the 30 watt range...they are loud enough to be played in smaller venues and can be miked for bigger ones. Plus they are a handy size and easliy portable. Yes, for purists the tube amps will have an edge in the sound...especially for smooth distortion. But truth be known...most of us can't tell the difference in a blind sound test. As Kahuna implied, give us some more information and lots of folks here can give you lots of information and suggestions...
Dear ZAX
As our fellow chordians wrote, it all depends on what you will do in the future.
I did never buy an amp < 100W. The reason was very remarkable: having a good friend, being supervisor for customs on Brussels National Airport, he had access everywhere and became friends with the people who imported Marshall, Gibson, Music Hi Fi racks. I was his medical doc too, and I told him about a common friend, that he had a Gibson Custom Les Paul. 2 weeks later he called me if I was interested in a GIBSON LP Studio, 400$ and not longer good for music stores caused by some scratches. I ordered 2, sold 1 for 600$ to trade mine in a Music Store for 900$ and I left with PRS custom 24 (UNKNOWN BRAND HERE) in 1996. Same story: a Marshall Valvestate for 150$ at the same time: FANTASTIC: equipped for 550$.
Years later I was surfing on the web, saw a Fender Cybertwin, went to the Guitar store and came back with a Fender Cybertwin 2x65W see link www.kellyindustries.com/guitars/fender_amps_cybertwin.html
Last amp: A Marshall AS100D = acoustic amp, I wanted the 50W but they told me to compare. One chord later I left with 100W in stead of 50. Even playing at home, they all are > 100W.
Advantage? probably, $$$ yes, but that's my character, a kind of reward or compensation for working 75 h a week.
I will look on the web, giving you different amps, Watt and price.
