Topic: Gibson Robotic Guitar versus Fender VG see also EBIGHAM1's topic

EBIGHAM's question if there is somebody who has experience with this guitar.
My topic is based on his question, but different.
Go to WWW.YOUTUBE.COM and write "gibson robotic guitar." You can do the same for the Fender VG stratocaster.
What IS YOUR IDEA about these guitars? A lot of players will swear on their normal with no bull*** to create their sound and using their guitar.
1) WOULD YOU BY A GIBSON ROBOTIC GUITAR?
2) WOULD YOU BUY A FENDER VG STRATOCASTER.

I spend hours to look, to listen, to compare, and if I could: I WON'T HESITATE TO BUY A GIBSON ROBOTIC. Blinded or hating the AUTOMATIC TUNING, you can still do it MANUAL. But, Jesus, it is, a not to understand GIBSON.
If you heard and saw this Gibson on YOUTUBE, I use youtube a lot to see what's on the GUITAR MARKET, isn't it a MIRACLE GUITAR? You can play a song, with the fat gibson sound identical to your Gibson Standard, and the second song, just push some buttons left and right to create an open tuning. I agree, you need some time to learn how to use this Gibson.
WOULD I BUY THAT GIBSON?
- YES, why I love "gadgets" but this isn't the reason. You create a lot of combinations. Maybe the only reference is a VARIAX LINE 6.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO: PROS AND CONS?

1) No.  Too much stuff to go wrong.  How much time do you spend tuning compared to playing, anyway?
2) Maybe.  If I feel that I want to experiment with alternate tunings, this would be the way I would go.  Smaller, lighter, fewer moving parts to break.

if i win the lottery or a rich relative exits to his final reward i will buy one or several but the price is not in my present budget

Youzer!  Put that $3000 price tag in the negatives column.  $1700 for a VG Strat is a bargain by comparison.

No, I wouldn't buy either one of them. They are an interesting concept but I  just don't care for the extra bells and whistles...

Middleaged Redneck sorta guy who refuses to grow up...passion for music, especially Southern Rock but like bout everything cept Gangsta/Hip Hop. Collect guitars, mandolins, and love to ride Harleys.

I am a compulsive or impulsive buyer. This me, all new "gadgets" I wanted them. My cover was my work: I worked up to 75 hours a week, I had a good running practice as MD, and I bought many things (I even put these in my income as expenses for taxes.), a certain moment PDA's, GPS systems, guitars, amps. Most of these I buyed after my car accident, having 2 cardiac arrests, and this had a big impact in my life, starting with a philosophy that you can DIE every moment.
I saw more seen than enough, in my practice, while working again, and I didn' care at all about guitars, amps.
Now, because I am disabled, and it gets worse month after month, I can only tell that I am blessed, having a whole collection. It's a lot more difficult now, (like a fight against 1 company), I'm too busy with "myself" BUT IF I HAD ENOUGH MONEY, or if I should still work, I would have both of them. It's really difficult, because I am a big spender.
About these guitars: YOU CAN COMPARE THEM ONLY WITH ONE BRAND= VARIAX (line 6).
The evolution the last 5 years is so HUGE, who could imagine that an AMP, like LINE 6 VETTA, or FENDER CYBERTWIN changed guitar world, having 200 different amps and effects in ONE AMP.

Is the FENDER VG better?
- You can change a stratocaster sound into a telecaster sound and an acoustic.
Cheaper and good.
