Topic: ABOUT CHORDS

A nice question: how many chords do you know, and BE ABLE TO PLAY????
I tried to count, and I can play very smooth and easy 40 chords, and 13 chords, I can play, but they are not so easy to play.
DOC: 53 chords

I agree 100% with you, the point is to use them well, to create an own song.
But Bone, this was meant as a question, a THEORETICAL question about how many chords you can play. Using them for a song is even greater, and you have a lot of variations.
so THIS IS 100% THEORY: the number of chords you are able to play. Like A  B  C  D  E  F  G +
Am  Bm Cm  Dm  Em  Fm  Gm  +  A7  B7  C7  D7  E7  F7  G7, and others like Bd, B#.......

The question isn't how many chords do you know, but how many you can find on the fretboard.  I can fret C major five different ways on a 12 fret guitar.  Same with A, G, E, and D.   So how many chords is that?   Is that five chords, or twenty five chords?
