Topic: Old Crow Medicine Show

I really like these guys. It's refreshing to see young musicians staying true to their roots. Mainly these guys do it the old-timey traditional way but the add some modern flavor to a beautiful style of music. Nothing against drummers but it's nice sometimes to hear music without percussion. Man, I really dug that. A definite on the buy list. Checked out their site, and guess what - they're playing at MerleFest! The only tour dated listed so far for 2008.

Alot of bands come in and they offer several diffrent workshops, and numerous open mics...You know the general festival thing. They had Tommy Emanuel there last year! It's in Monroe NC (real close by) Rumors have it dated in the end of april but it hasn't been confirmed yet. I can't find the site...Must be down...Possibly being updated. I'll send you more info as I get it.
