Topic: SPECIAL ELECTRIC GUITARS.

I was looking on www.gibson.com
I saw there a guitar, a really strange model.
A REVERSE FLYING V
That seems an incredible guitar, TAKE A FLYING V MODEL, SEPARATE THE BODY FROM THE NECK, AND JOIN THEM BACK, WITH THE BODY UPSIDE DOWN.
The body of the Flying V turned 180°
Another guitar, having a strange body is the BO DIDDLEY GRETSCH, with a RECTANGULAR BODY SHAPE.
This is a nice topic about "unusual guitars", also the OVATION guitar can be considered as strange, caused by the back.

Re: SPECIAL ELECTRIC GUITARS.

Hi Phil, seminal R'n'B figure Bo Diddley regularly used a rectangular as part of his stage act in the late 50s and early 60s. It's iconic and also a Gretsch trademark as the Gretsch 'Big B' guitar. Sort of an obvious gimmick but Bo Diddley was ever teh showman.

There's also a Reversocaster about as well which looks awful.

All should prove rather uncomfortable to play but if you're after a live gig surprise go for it!

Re: SPECIAL ELECTRIC GUITARS.

Thanks cytania, that was one of the guitars I mentioned, It was a rectangular Gretsch. I just don't if this shape affects the sound, see also the "teardrop" guitar Brian Jones used.
In my condition, I can't stand right, so a chair is needed, result: my ovation, problems, a Flying V, great sound, but playing this guitar sitting?!!?!!
