"Far From Me" John Prine
It is a simple waltz that paints a vivid picture and tells a story in just a few well-chosen words.
Very odd . . . just checked the index and 'Far From Me' is not currently listed. However, it is still in the first songbook I published many many months ago:

Mine changes almost daily.
Right now it's a number of Hank Williams songs. Jambalaya, Never Get Out of this World Alive, Long Gone Daddy, and a bunch of his early spirituals have been in my song list rotation.
Last week it was Meshugga's "New Millennium Cyanide Christ."
Before that I was on a complete John Mayer kick.
If I had to pick one, though, it would probably be "Over the Hills and Far Away" by Zepplin. Or "Fat Bottomed Girls" by Queen. Or "Battery" by Metallica.
Aw heck. It's not a fair question!
A alot of thought went in for this one and I've narrowed it down to just two of oh so many.
What still does it for me is "Crossroads" by Cream Eric Clapton guitar solo well enough said.
and revelation at the time was Led Zep "Whole lotta love" it still sends tingles down my spine with memories.
Ark
I've posted this before, but my favourite song to listen to is "5 State Drive" by Less Than Jake.

Proud Mary - CCR
I, like others have favourite songs that vary day from day or week from week.
But for the last month I have been completely hooked on John Prine's album " fair and square" so I think it would be one from that and since I have just learned a few of them I would say
either the song " long Monday" or "Other side of town"

I learned that too. I play that on the mandolin using chords, it sounds great on it.
