Topic: Wilkinson Bridges

Is a Wilkinson Bridge considered an up-grade , especially for a Fender Telecaster, or is it just another after market product...? I would really appreciate some advice, Thanks,  FiveO

Re: Wilkinson Bridges

AFAIK Wilkinson is an improvement on the Fender tremelo design and often standard on top Fender models, particularly the hot-rod models which try to combine vintage looks with todays hardware. You can buy and fit Wilkinson's after market as well but I wouldn't think they were so desirable that dealers would be adding them to boost standard Fenders.

wWlikerson is an aftermarket bridge for tele's not an improvement although they are made better, they also make aftermarket strat tremolos. (tele's rarely have trems) If you want a up grade www.callahan guitars their quite expensive.

Bootlegger.

Thanks, Bootlegger, I kinda felt that way about it, I'm somewhat a purist, but I thought I'd try one , I did and it just didn't feel right, wanted some other opinions, Thanks again, ...FiveO
