Hi johnmcdnl & welcome to chordie!
'Silent Night' is a 3-chord song.
A, D, E7 (so you would have to learn E7).

Also, you can use chordie's transpose tool to move songs into your comfort zone. Look to the right side of the song pages. Fiddle with moving the chords up or down as needed.
Here is a link to a songbook entitled '3-chord wonders':

Have fun! James
George Jones - You're Still On My Mind
D,A7 - Tom Dooley
Three Dog Night - Shambala
A7 isn't hard to do, and since you've gotten this far, it's easy to transition from A to C
anyone else - no seriously i can only play A D E in major so.....
matchbox 20 "bright lights" if you can throw a G in its a really slow and easy song
And just make it an Em instead of an E, look up an Em its easier than an E
Luck Bud!
i an play ----A C D E G Am A7 ------- now so bring on a few more
Try Ac-Dc back in black
Ac-Dc highway to hell
Ac-Dc dirty deeds
Jimmi hendrix smoke on the water
Jimmi hendrix wild thing
Not to sure if i got all the artists right, if not im sorry, although it doesnt matter to much. Sorry i cant include any actual chords but none should be at all hard to find, and even easier to play.
If you can play A D and E, you can play pretty much any three chord ditty.
Any song with C-F-G, G-C-D, E-A-B, or D-G-A can be transposed into your three chords, and thats pretty much every song ever written.
Check out some blues or country tunes. There's something in there for you.
Check out Tim Mcgraw, George strait, there are several songs that you can play if you know all of that
you know - i reckon all i have to learn is how to play f's and b's and Bb and i'm sorted - thanks to anyone who's posted
anyone willing to explain how to play Bb, B, F -
