Topic: Play It for Me James

When I visit James' Myspace Page and listen to his music I can help feel a bit of nostalgia. I grew up listening to bluegrass music that I just thought of as music at the time and there were all sorts of instruments that I don’t hear very often in much of today’s music. So this is my way of saying thanks to James for giving me a low cost trip back in time.

Jets,

I could not agree more. Isnt it the most beautiful sound. I actually asked

James what instrument it was when i heard it first. I am in love with that
sound.. I can always imagine it ringing around the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Re: Play It for Me James

Hi there, Jets!  Wow & thanks - you have made my day!

The 'Songs for Human and Autoharp' page is near and dear to my heart and it is so cool when friends listen and comment.  I'm glad my recordings resonate with good memories for you.

I love the instrument and hope more people will discover the simple joys of autoharp playing.  Playing autoharp is sort of like playing chess - all the basic moves are very simple, but then putting the moves together is the challenge.
