Topic: Song Stifled Seeds. Helena Donovan.

Hi,
This song i have written for a couple of years now.. I always wanted it to have a Country Feel to it.
So i am putting it here for suggestion, If admin dont mind? Please bear in mind  no F chords, as i still cannot play
that chord.
It is  a personal factual piece... So now my friend will be so surprised when he sees this piece, as i have never told him about  writing it.
Ps. Geroid, Don't be getting any ideas now! You know the story. Talk soon x.  -- Thank You All.

Stifled Seeds.

200 hundred miles of cabs and fares
Because you heard I would be there
My music feast a country scene
Yours Clapton Eagles and Queen.

You found me there among the crowd
Amid the music oh so loud.
Kissed me so so passionately
The crowd erupted joyously.

Chorus.1
How many times do I have to say?
This won’t happen no way no way
Love me now please you say
You’ve booked the best hotel to stay

You play Guitar your songs for me.
Picking strings tenderly
Brown eyes smiling sometimes teary
You’re once twice three times a Lady.
.
So many times I could have lain.
With you among my woman’s lair
Two loving shapes wrapped carefully
Like ivy vines you and me.
Chorus 2
.But loss in time has changed all that
Rejection being my bitter slap
So while you ask to be with me
I stay away knowingly

Ill see you soon again I know
And you will kiss me as you do
To once again let me know
Your seeds of love for me still grow.

Why Blend in with the Crowd ? When you were made to stand out !

Re: Song Stifled Seeds. Helena Donovan.

Hi Bonedaddy,

well now im only learning picking for a while. If there slow songs i can pick,

through, I dont use a plec. thats the next venture. Way back here in the threads, i think it was Patrick Jaques, gave me a picking pattern. So when
im not writing here,  I sit with the guitar and  I just keep repeating
over and over.
Only the strings, for ages, then started adding the chords.
my brain went all over the place, when i tried both. but getting there.
Yes i have tried your chords. I was gonna ask you here, "had you a quick tempo in your mind for it"? I am still working with them!.

Re: Song Stifled Seeds. Helena Donovan.

Hmmm, not a quick tempo but not downbeat either.  I guess that's not much help is it?  lol!

Have you a copy of Simon & Garfunkels American Tune?  If you have I kind of did it in vaguely that kind of tempo sort of thing.  Roughly cool.

Re: Song Stifled Seeds. Helena Donovan.

Lena,
The Lyrics have a slower sound to them, but maybe a medium to faster chorus.

I can't do the F-chord yet either.
Insted of strumming the chords, maybe strum slowly or individual strings.

C,D, and G, I agree. not sure about the B7.

If you're not happy with what you have...
Then you'll never be happy with what you get...
