Topic: Shielded ends?

Probably an idiotic question, but here goes anyway....


I just bought a set of planet waves instrument cables, one end of the lead has the words 'shielded end' printed on it, the other does not.  Question is, does it matter which end I plug into the guitar, pedal or amp?? 


Hope you can help out, cos I'm pretty clueless about such matters.  <img src="images/smiley_icons/icon_redface.gif" border=0 alt="Embarassed">
