C#m

|--14-14-14-14-14-14-14-14--14--14--14----------|
|--13-13-13-13-13-13-13-13--13--13-----13-------|

So whats next? Where can I get Bm and E doing it like this?

Can someone help?

Re: HEEEEELP!!!! Need some scale advice......

Use the large chord chart which is in "Resources" on this site - http://www.chordie.com/chords.php

For E, look at the chart, click on the E chord diagram and choose your preferred shape then move that shape up the fret board by an octave (12 frets).

It's probably easier to move across to the G & D strings to play E on two strings but then again it's your choice, your sound.

I rarely play anything that high up the neck on my acoustic and I'm sure there are more qualified people on Chordie to give you advice, but at least this pointer may help as a starter.

Re: HEEEEELP!!!! Need some scale advice......

Forgot to say just slide your C#m down two frets (towards the head stock) to get Bm

Re: HEEEEELP!!!! Need some scale advice......

Your a star mate I'll try that right now.

I use the chord chart alot on here too but didnt even think of it duuuuuuuh!!

Re: HEEEEELP!!!! Need some scale advice......

You are within three frets of any major or minor chord no matter where you are on the fretboard.

The CAGED sequence details this.

You get a brand new fretboard at the 12th fret.  Just barre, and you're golden.

B down at the 12th fret is a closed D form chord.

E down there is a closed G form.
