Topic: New Guitar

Bought this beauty in July. Took it to my guitar repair guy and made the mistake of telling him to take his time. I just got it back a few days ago. I had it converted from righty to lefty and I absolutely love it.(Wasburn D-15) I use this guitar to play solos after looping an acoustic gtr, percussion, and fretless bass. The tone and texture of this guitar is dreamy. The pick up isn't as loud as the pick up on my acoustic(it's an active pick up, the D-15 is not) but the boost I get from my pedals is enough to balance the two guitars nicely. I feel like I have a new family member. Plus it looks every bit as awesome as it sounds!!! We played our first gig together last night.

Re: New Guitar

Mr Southpaw41L.
The guitar you mention is it an acoustic, semi acoustic, hollowbody?

Re: New Guitar

Hi Toney,

Lovely looking guitar, pity we cannot hear you playing it. Unless of course..................................................well, FoC can make space for you wink

Nice to meet the latest edition to your family though.

Take care,

Roger

Thanks Roger,

I hope, very soon, to be able to submit some music to FoC. A while back I got myself involved with some, well, not so nice people(promoters) who wanted to"help me out." I'm in the process of severing ties with these"nice people" and as soon as these legal issues get resolved I'll be able to promote myself and my music in a public forum. I could probably do it now without the "nice people" finding out about it but from a legal standpoint, I just can't take that chance. I always enjoy the artists' featured on FoC and aspire in the very near future to be among the wonderful talent assembled there.

Have Yourself a Grand Day Roger,

p.s. I have a techical question regarding spam procedure. I'll e-mail you with the question.

Re: New Guitar

Toney, I have probably the same question. If it is about, I call it "SPORN" is it possible to let me know? We need to fight with the same weapons and dignity.

By the way, I love the word SPORN, it tells everything and it's written faster smile  smile

Hi LastRebel,

I'm with you on the not being a big Washburn fan either but after playing this guitar and comparing the price of it to others in it's class, it was a no brainer for me to buy this guitar. I go through guitars like a marathon runner goes through shoes so the price of this guitar($300) and the style and pizzazz just lured me in like a large mouthed bass to a fat, juicy, night crawler.(was that a good analogy?)

Peace and Guitars,
SouthPaw41L
