Topic: How do tabs work???
please tell me how to work tabs as i am teaching myself the guitar and i am unsure,thanks!!

Check this post out, I helped hcullis out on this already. There's some another post by the same person that goes into the string bending thing more if you need it.

ok i think i understand those things a bit better now except for bending strings but im still lost on how the actual tabs work like when you click into a song and all those lines come up at the start.sorry i sound so stupid but im only teaching myself so i dont have a clue about them!!thanks a million,

tab is written out like this:
l--------------------------------------------------
l------------------------------------------------
l----------------0---------------------0---------------
l------------0-------0-------------0------0-----------
l--------0---------------0------0------------0------------
l----0-----------------------0-------------------0------
Read from left to right, the next note you play is the next one to the right regardless of which string its on.
For example the above tab would be played:
E string open, A string open, D string open, G string open, D string open, A string open, E string open.
If two notes are lined up exactly like this:
l----0----
l----0----
l-----------
l-----------
l----------
l------------, you play both of those at once.
