Woot Woot CMR Summer of Love ‘07

as funky as you can

I was [C]living        [G]

But I [Am]wasn’t sure just [D]why I was

I [C]seemed to feel a [G]need

I couldn’t [Am]satisfy be-[D]cause

My [C]heart and I were [G]separated

Can’t [Am]say you know it’s [D]complicated

And the [G]things I did didn’t [C]seem to help at [D]all.

No the [G]shit I did didn’t [C]seem to help at [D]all.

So I [C]left and went to [G]Colorado

Better [Am]people there than in [D]Coronado

Just [C]never thought that [G]I would meet

A [Am]girl so strong but [D]still so sweet.

We [C]saw the moon make [G]flowers bloom

And the [Am]Cheyenne showdown [D]set for noon.

I [G]never would have guessed that [C]I would ever meet the [D]best.

No I [G]never would have guessed that [C]I would ever meet the [D]best.

I [C]think that we can [G]all agree

That it [Am]wasn’t just steph and it [D]wasn’t just me

[C]Everybody there that [G]wanted it

Bad en-[Am]ough had a summertime [D]fling.

Lemme [C]take a verse to [G]recognize

The [Am]boys and girls while the [D]fire dies

The [G]ones who bent the [C]rules but only broke a [D]few

The [G]ones who bent the [C]rules but only broke a [D]few

Woot [C]Eli        [G]

Woot [Am]Erin        [D]

Woot [C]Emry and [G]Lundy

Lemme get a [Am]woot for my boy [D]Drew.

He [C]never thought he’d [G]make it out

To the [Am]east coast at least [D]not without

A [G]big cash and a [C]little bit of nature [D]girl

A [G]big cash and a [C]whole lotta nature [D]girl.

Woot [C]Cheelo        [G]

She won’t [Am]dance for money she’ll [D]dance for cash

Woot [C]James and Laura [G]Labovitz

Who [Am]hooked up next to [D]last

DanI-[C]elle Dubois bottled [G]up inside

But [Am]saw the good in [D]Mr. Hyde

[G]Love is never late it [C]seems to come right on [D]time.

[G]Love is never late it [C]seems to come right on [D]time.

Woot [C]marty        [G]

Woot [Am]jo jo        [D]

Woot [C]devin and [G]Samuel

Loving in the [Am]shower room is a [D]no no.

Woot [C]those of us who [G]stayed alone.

Re: Woot Woot

This is very good, Rastaman.

It seems summers never change only the years.

Mine was summer of 69" Now! dont be counting back the years.

Do something  more constructive like more writing.

Old Doll.

Why Blend in with the Crowd ? When you were made to stand out !

Re: Woot Woot

Hi Rastaman,

Good song that I enjoyed playing but I have two questions. Should the chords on the third to last line be Am D? And what the heck does 'Woot' mean?

Great song to play and you really should record it if you can. Well done.

Thank you,

Roger

Woot is slang for 'respect to' . Also sometimes used as a 'shout out'.(saying hello to someone)
