Topic: intonation advice needed

..... my intonation needs adjusting. any advice on how to this would be greatly apreciated.... the intonation is currently sharp which is becoming extreamly annoying as open chords are out of tune... thanks

Re: intonation advice needed

I had a problem with this in my old Fender. The problem was that the saddle had become loose and the string tension was pulling it forward and knocking out the intonation. What I did was slide a couple of pieces of paper down each side of the saddle to tighten it up and stop it moving.

Next time you restring check if your saddle it OK.

However, if your saddle is Ok you may have to get into adjusting truss rods which I've never done.

I know just how annoying this is, so good luck with it. I may just add that I finally gave in and bought a new guitar.  big_smile

Is anything really made up of zeros and ones??

Re: intonation advice needed

The superhero that does all of my guitar work recommends first when having intonation issues to start the process with a change of strings. This is especially effective with my Les Paul.  While playing  anything above the 7th fret on old, worn strings, the pitch is adversely affected. Slap a fresh set a strings on and wha-lah, problem fixed. I'm not saying this is the problem with your guitar but try this first, it can't hurt.

Give everything but up.
