Topic: Summer in the City

I was interested to see this song as one of the most popular songs on Chordie.  It's a great song but my memory tells me it must be almost 40 years since it was released as a single by Lovin'Spoonful.  Can anybody give any reasons for the recent popularity of this classic?

well as you said - this song is a CLASSIC, loved in the 60's 70's onwards to today.! never forgotten, i guess it's simply one of those few songs that are gonna stick around for a while!
