Topic: Bug fixing day

The next ten hours I will be working on fixing a lot of small annoyances/bugs in Chordie.

If you know of something that does not work the way you expect it to, this is the perfect time to tell me.

Just reply to this thread or send an email to admin@chordie.com..:)

Re: Bug fixing day

First bug fixed:
Too much space at the bottom of the songs.

Re: Bug fixing day

New bug fix:
It has been impossible to add songs to your current songbook if this song exists in another songbook. This is kind of frustrating, especially if you have imported large collections and are not able to locate the song.

This is now fixed!

Re: Bug fixing day

Bug/feature:
The most popular is outdated. I have fixed this, and now the most popular is updated automatically. It is now collecting data. I will enable this in a few hours.

Re: Bug fixing day

New bug fix:
Some songs with "international names" are impossible to add to songbook and/or transpose.

This is now fixed!!

Re: Bug fixing day

Hi Per,

Any chance you are able to make the original songs in the Songwriters section easily printable so they come out 'all nice and purdy'. Thank you.

Re: Bug fixing day

Hi Per,
The recent changes have made editing songs tricky.  For instance, on some lines it seems that {soc} and {eoc} commands are ignored.
Here is an example:

Note that although the 'start of chorus' and 'end of chorus' commands are there, they are ignored in middle of the song.

No big deal, but curious and frustrating.

Re: Bug fixing day

Roger: I have added this to the todo-list. Next week probably.

James: I was afraid that one of my changes could affect {soc}/{eoc}, but where not able to test it. I cant find any soc-tags in the url you sent me. Do you have another example?

Re: Bug fixing day

Hi Per,

James's problem also occurs in posting a song on the forum. In my last offering "Chordie Friends" I had a long 16 line chorus broken into 4 parts of four lines each. I had to use a multitude of {soc} and {eoc} to enable it to look right.

Re: Bug fixing day

I will fix this chorus problem very soon. All links are appreciated...:)

Re: Bug fixing day

The chorus problem is now fixed.

This should be fixed now. There is an icon in the upper right corner that should lead to the print page.

Please test this, and take special note of this:
* international characters, apostrophes and stuff. Does it work good enough?
* Multiple songs on one page. Does it work?

Re: Bug fixing day

Layout errors browsing by song. Fixed.

Re: Bug fixing day

I am looking for examples of songs that claim to be "formatted chord"-songs when you are browsing. However when you click them, they turn out to be text-only. I need more examples of this to be able to nail down this bug.
