Topic: Daddy where did you go?
Here is a song I wrote based on my own experiences, I wrote it a few years ago about when I saw my dad after thirtenn years of not seeing or hearing from him.
I think I should re-record this song.

UYK,
Ive just come on line here! First song to read! I can only imagine what that must have been like for you!
But do you know Uyk. Whatever way you were affected emotionally Definitely does not reflect it your post! You have the best sense of humour and Honesty,
and i love reading them. Your a great young Man!
Old Doll
hi upyerkilt it must have been very emotional for you to post this song, ive been lucky to have both of mine till last year when my dad died ,it leaves a big hole in your life ,i just hope you can make some sense of getting to know him again ,or to carry on as you have ...good luck..
thanks old doll and daddy.
Yeah was hard, but when yer young you live with it as you grow, then ye think, wait a minute, something is missing. lol
I have this habot of being honest, sometimes too honest and I dont know when to shut up.
I do keep in touch with my dad now thru e mail ( he lives in USA) So it is not all that bad.
Cheers
Ken
i didnt see my dad for almost ten years. tried to keep in touch but he moved and i had no idea where he went. always wanted to put it to words but actually never really cared to. now im a dad and things have changed. great song ,ken
I can sure feel the emotion. It is genuin and heartfelt. Good job..
Nice song. I can relate to it as well.
Hi Ken,
A heartfelt song of an awful experience which luckily I have not experienced and I do hope that you are still in touch with your father now.
I tried it fast but preferred to play it at a more moderate tempo.
Thank you,
Roger
Cheers Roger,
( and how ye doin?)
It can be played moderatly. I play it fast or slow or inbetween sometimes, depends on how i feel or how much I want to annoy my wife ,lol
I think I might make one of my picture videos tomorrow or might even do a vid with me in it,lol
but will let everyone no doubt as i always do,lol

Music can be very therapeutic
young children take up a lot of time and energy and it can sometimes be difficult to sort out priorities
I made the decision to spend more time with my kids but it was mot an easy one .
then one day I looked at the lryics to "cats in the cradle" by Harry Chapin. Its a great song and I was moved. much happier about giving up the little things that i gave up to play with my kids.
always good to have a fresh reminder.
j
yea John
cats in the cradle, excellent lyrics as is "father to son" for father/son sort sort of songs.
