easybeat, good attempt at Blues, it also sounded a little bit jazzy in places, well at least to my ear with the guitar.  Love the whole guitar playing once again.  The vocals, sorry to say didn't quite sound Blues to me, maybe not the right style for you, but then, who am I to say, just think I have heard other vocal styles that suit you better.  Blues is hard to sing, hence I haven't tried them myself, I don't think I even could sing Blues if I tried.  Come to think of it, I can`t play Blues either.  I have been trying the basics on ukulele and oh my gosh, talk about slow and painful lol.  I am trying not to strum them and to pick the strings instead, don`t think I am patient enough, so all that to say, you have totally outdone me in all areas, so kudos to you.

Re: APRIL 2025 FSOTM – BLUES

TIGLJK, just another comment on Earles performance, I went on and listened to heaps of his music last night and really like his style and stuff.  What a talented guy, all the sadder to hear he is now gone from this world.  He was pretty open about his drug and drink issues, laughing it off at times, talked about the cost of the drugs, cocaine he was on etc  Made me feel really sad, but wow an amazing talented guy.

Many thanks to everyone who had a listen.
its all about conversations, you play a song i listen ,then i say hey i`ve got a song too, and you listen.
its all about respect for anyone that is prepared to put themselves out there.
i take on critiques and it gives me something to think about.

Your   humour  shines  through  in your  lyric  Brian .I  hope to   have  a  look  at   some  of  your  songs  again now   my  health  is  improving   . You   need  to  write  some thing  about  dentistry  thats  a good  subject   for  a  blues  song  ,and  god  knows  i've   suffered  recently   so  something  to  give  me  a  smile  would  be  good .

Re: APRIL 2025 FSOTM – BLUES

Brian tried to leave a message on soundcloud but I think I failed. Anyway, you lifted my spirits this early in the mid morning...well I'm retired I can lay in bed till 10? Yep coffee is not my cup of tea as it gives me palpitations but this song gave me a very happy feeling. Nice one buddy.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Brian - just listened to Caffeine - definitely a blues song that makes ya smile.
maybe another verse for ya smile

" Drowsy eyes so very tired but the need to write is here.
with no caffeine that I lack, not one word will appear.
no caffeine in my coffee, a song I wouldn't want to hear
but if it ever happens,  I might as well have some beer! smile

more listens that you think.i often put it on when i  have passengers and they get good comments.
i know some dont put songs on chordie, because of lack of feedback /conversation but i can assure you they do get heard!

Thanks! I'm writing a song around it ... but haven't got all the lyrics down yet ... content for a blues song has (pretty much) all been done before!!

Cheers
