Topic: JULY FSOTM – UPLIFTING AND OR COMEDY

This time looking for SONGS that have COMEDY aspects to them and or SONGS that are UPLIFTING.

Here are some songs that were suggested.
I`m My Own Grandpa
Spanish Pipe Dream – John Prine
Ernie (The Fastest Milkman in the West) – Benny Hill
Laughing Gnome – David Bowie

Those are some suggestions given, but feel free to do any SONGS that you think  that are in from the COMEDY arena or are UPLIFTING even if not listed above.

neophytte, that was great, really enjoyed it.  Liked the lyrics, the way you sang in it, including the little speaking bit haha and of course guitar wise, it suited the song very much.  Look forward to hearing the next verse.  Maybe you could write more about your reaction in the 3rd verse or make up something that happened for a 3rd verse smile

Thanks - it took a bit of extra effort to set up, mix down, and do the video editing; but it does make it look a bit better. I might try and mix one of the other songs I did the same way ..

Jan these were awesome  - I especially liked the campfire song.  It is always great to hear your beautiful singing voice.

TIGLJK, thanks for having a listen and comments smile   Sadly, I haven't had time to write any songs, it's been hard enough getting time to record covers.   Hoping to do more now the painting is finished, though more painting awaits in the future.  Maybe you could write a parody suitable for me to attempt?  You're the man with the writing skills smile
