Topic: UK

Well I just returned to the USA from a fantastic visit to the UK.

Went to Edinburgh - spent 3 days traveling around beautiful Scotland (incredible castles. Lochs, and Reindeer ) took a train to London, also a magnificent city.

Thanks for us letting experience a great place !  I was amused one night watching the news on TV and how the newspeople were viewing the Trump vs. Biden debacle. The best line was a woman newsperson who summed it up in a few words -   Americans can now choose between "Vile and Senile" !   That would be a great TEE SHIRT  seller here in the U.S. smile    Sorry about this having nothing to do with music - but I just wanted to let my chordie friends from the UK know how much I liked their country, plus England pulled out a Euro cup win while we were there!!

Cheers

Jim

p.s. it took a bit to get used to the left side driving and small roads, but it was so cool.

Re: UK

So! you never thought to come and say hello to your best Welsh mate...again? You didn't even say you were coming over here. Wales is down a bit and turn right when going south  from Scotland. You obviously turned left and accidentally  found London. Hope you remembered to pay your ULEZ fee?

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: UK

lol Phill

We (my wife, my daughter, Her Husband, three kids ages 2-6) flew into Edinburgh.
He is  a pilot for United so my wife and I can use a "buddy pass"   flying stand bye and only having to pay the taxes on the ticket.
However - you are the mercy of having some empty seats.

It was going good - we were supposed to fly home from Edinburgh when the weather in the USA got horrid and grounded hundreds of flights

So we took a train to London that gave us many more options to get home.
If we had stayed another day or two  in London I would have given you a shout- it would be awesome to hook up for an ale or two and chat.
However- when there were openings - we took it - especially since it was 1st class.

We may be back - it was such a fun adventure.  The UK is beautiful country.
We went to Scotland bc My fathers family was the MacMillan Clan  which was near paisley.
