Topic: MUSICAL MEMORIES

Been trawling  through some old  vids  and  found  this .
Its   some  footage  of  me  at the  Richmond  boat  club   London  with a  bunch  of  my  mates  from the  Power of  Soul band. My  friend  Steve secretly brought  a  very  special  guitar   for  me  to  play that  night,   a  Fender telecaster    which  once  belonged  to  Alex  Harvey   of  the  Sensational  Alex Harvey  Band .
I  was   supposed to  play  an acoustic  set   that  night   but  a  load  of  my  friends  tuned  up  and  wanted  electric , This   and  the   rest  of  the  set   were  completely  unrehearsed the  guys  were  great  and  backed  me  all  night   ,real pros .

This was one that I did sometime back in the 90's - a friend used to make "video productions", and every year he and his extended friend group would make one big video - on this year they did a Telethon-style appeal for Nana Mouskouri:

I had a drum machine that I operated with my foot, (probably a Boss DR-110) and the other guitarist (Michael) was just for show (and extra vocals) - he was the drummer in one of our bands. I later bought the bass players (Kevin) bass guitar and still have it:

Most of the other acts were miming or telling jokes, and they were all impressed by our 3 minute cover of "My Generation" by the Who - several people complimented us on the way out. I can't remember what we did with amps and stuff, but it was probably with our old configuration of a Boss BX600 mixer into a practice amp.

We also made a couple of music videos for the band, but the music was the original and we just kind of mimed and "starred" in the video - I think they were the Beatles "Back in the USSR" and "End of the line" by the Travelling Wilburies. I'd probably get pinged by YouTube for a copyright infringement if I put them up ...

Loved  it  , What   was  the guitar  you  were   playing   it  looks  a bit  like  a  Kramer    ,I  couldn't  make  out  the  logo .

It's a Session guitar (which I still have and use as my "pickup test" guitar now); I've never been able to find much info about them on the web, but there was this snippet from this site:

Session were a brand in Australia by The Electric Factory in Melbourne Victoria …… the first and second runs were made in Japan and were of very good quality that stood up against Profiles and Daions , the third and fourth runs were made in Korea but weren’t quite the same ….. I believe they sold the brand name around 1995

I think mine was one of the early ones as it plays and feels very good - it was my main ax for a number of years!!
