Nice video; I'm always curious if you have a "backlog" of clips that you use, or go out and record them especially for each film clip .. ? The music reminded me a bit of the Shadows (and, oddly, a video of some random dude playing "Apache" also showed up ...!).
Anyway, thanks for posting!
Cheers
Richard
Richard, sometimes I make the video and take pictures to go with the music or song and other times I dig into my file of videos and pictures. It all started when I got a phone that took photos and videos. So for about the last 8 years I have been playing around with making videos trying to utilize whatever is around me by coming at it with different angles.
Part of the thing with me is what we see as everyday today might not be there in 20 years' time. So part of my purpose quiet often is to have a record of the present time knowing that things can change very quickly and be gone before you know it.

I wish I had this attitude when I had my film camera in the 80's and 90's ...

lol awesome Peatle, you take something so ordinary like glass recycling and make it interesting. Love your insight into ordinary things and make them interesting. Keep them coming.
Thank you Jan hopefully my videos will be watched in years to come and people will comment on if things have changed or not at that future time. Maybe those images will just disappear into the ether.
Hi Richard. Apache was in my set and I've always been a fan of the Shadows. I thought it was more reminiscent of Guitar Tango! I think now that the tune came first, or riff? Then the chords Al la Apache, Am, Dm etc but not all of the tune. I was delighted when Peatle wanted to use it, but I would like to have done a more perfect recording as the mistakes stand out.
Piri if there any mistakes in your recording I haven't noticed them. You are a master musician, and I am honored that you let me use your music on the video. I heard that Hank Marvin now lives in Perth Australia with his second wife Carole. He might be running around Richard's suburb now knocking on doors as he is a Jehovah's Witness.

I think we always hear our own mistakes more than anyone else! As Peatle mentioned above, I didn't hear them ... but I guess we always have room for improvement .. (all of us!!)

He has been living here for a while, I know when I was in a band, the guitarist (I was playing bass) had a quite rare guitar for sale - I don't remember what it was, but something like a Fender Mustang in baby blue with racing stripes. He didn't really want to sell it so had the price a bit higher, apparently Hank came down, played a few tunes, didn't argue the price and took it home. Unfortunately it happened about an hour or two before the jam, so I didn't get to meet him. That was in the 90's, probably in 1993, so he's been here for 30 odd years at least ...
Cheers
Richard
I just looked Hank up on the internet and it said he has lived in Perth since 1986. According to an article I just read when he is out door knocking with the Jehovah Witnesses people have told him he looks a lot like Hank Marvin.

He probably does

There is an urban legend which claims that Charlie Chaplin entered one of the many Chaplin look-alike contests and lost. It is retold in the musical Chaplin.
