Topic: Cleaning & Care

What should I use to keep my electric guitar body nice and clean?

Likewise the neck is getting sticky with all my practising, what product will keep it smooth and fast?

Re: Cleaning & Care

Some folks are gonna recommend oils, polishes, cleaners and the like but me personally, I prefer a non-lint rag and a touch of elbow grease. I've never put anything foreign on my guitars and as long as you wipe them down thoroughly after each session they stay nice and pretty. This is just my opinion but to verify this belief my 1976 strat, 1988 LesPaul, and my 2005 J-45 shine like the day I got 'em.

Give everything but up.

Re: Cleaning & Care

it depends how sensitive the finish is

mines a pretty tough polyurethane finish so i just use window cleaner but it is not recommended for more sensitive finishes

GHS guitar gloss it is a non silicone polish that don't streak or smudge. I also use lizzard spit (www.lizzard spit.com) to oil my fret boards.

Bootlegger.
