Transcription Software

Any recommendations for use with a Windows desktop?  Looking primarily to tune down a half step.   I have Audacity, but didn't seem to clear to me.   Looked at Pitch Switch,  Song Surgeon, and Transcribe briefly.

I tried to bring Roadhouse Blues up from key of E to G and Jim Morrison sounded like Alvin the Chipmunk.
Simple and effective is what I'm after.  Thanks!
