hi Jim yep it was! I think you have to find a nice groove and work out an arrangement based on that before adding lyrics at least thats one way sometimes the lyrics come 1st. thanks for taking a look

I was thinking that as I listened. I was hoping for a old west storyline - as the Title Pawnee Creek suggested that to me right off the bat.
good luck with the lyrics.
as I listened to it I had this little verse pop in my head....
up in the Northland near Pawnee creek
I fell in love for about a week
she was a hard luck woman with killer eyes
her heart was warm, but full of lies
if you would like - I think i might be able to come up with more if I listen to a few more times.
Let me know - I'm certainly not trying to step on any toes here - I just like it a lot - just offering some of my thoughts after listening to it.

Great lyrics Jim something to come back to when I finalize the arrangement right now I am working with the bass player to get his bass line in sync with my guitar line thanks for the contribution.

I couldn’t get your tune out of my head- tells me its really good
Spent this morning working on the lyrics more
Here’s what I came up with { I have no clue what chords you guys were plying - this is just how I play it. I'm not much of a musician}
Feel free to trash it, change it, or use it
It’s just my interpretation of your music
I tried to play it fast like you guys were.
I had a capo on the 2nd fret also
