I'm curious too ... my video of putting together a toy with my son has over eight thousand views, yet my guitar playing, I'm lucky to get 50! So ... following smile

Yes but most of the ladies I know are in their 60s lol

Re: You tube views

What you really need is an army of SPAMBOTS to inject links to your vids all over the planet.....

Just kidding.... really I have no idea what it takes to increase traffic without being a pest.  But maybe you have to do something really bad just to get folks attention ?  Works for Politicians !!

Share the link with as many people as you can. Have all those people share it. Then they can pass it on and they can pass it on and they can pass it on. Etc, etc, etc.

Re: You tube views

Theoretically that should work but sadly it doesn't seem to .I've tried many different platforms and the most I've ever had is about a thousand views on one vid .

A circle within a spiral within a wheel? As Mr Ian Anderson said. There are thousands of Chordie members but how many can be bothered to join in our conversations? Just let it be known; I enjoy your video...power to the people.

Ask not what Chordie can do for you, but what you can do for Chordie.

Re: You tube views

#hashtageverything  is definitely one way.  It is how I got my detailing up to front page status on Google.

ask everyone to hashtag.  Hashtag key words in your song like   #sad #supermarket #sexgod hashtag the towns you play in. use it use it #useit

Re: You tube views

It is very strange how it pans out. I have dozens of songs on YouTube which usually get less than 100 hits unless it is one of my students and they tend to get several hundred. I do have four exceptions though, all covers except the last one:

14 K The Ballad Of Springhill (an old Peter, Paul and Mary song)
4.2 K Unchained Melody (an old Righteous Brothers song)
1.6 K Let It Be Me (an old Everly Brothers song)
1.2 K What A Friend We Have In Kitty (an original James McCormick song first seen on Chordie)
